The Dr. & Mrs. Mark R. Cavanaugh $5000 Pre-med Scholarship

Applications must be turned in to Mr. Sean Haynes in the Counseling Office or submitted online. NEW for 2025, each application that can be submitted online now has a form directly attached to the individual scholarship information site. Follow the link to each scholarship for more information.

The Dr. & Mrs. Mark R. Cavanaugh $5000 Pre-med Scholarship will provide two $5000 scholarships to deserving Sahuaro senior applicants.

Criteria for consideration:

    • High School Senior who will enroll at a U.S. accredited two or four-year college, university or institution of higher learning full-time during the upcoming school year.
    • High School Senior planning to enroll in college with a pre-med focus.

One recommendation must come from a teacher, and one must come from a coach. Both recommendations must include the reference’s name, address, telephone number, and information regarding how long and in what capacity he or she has known the applicant and a narrative describing the writer’s perception of the ability of the student to succeed in their post-high school endeavor as well as insight regarding the candidate’s integrity.
