In Memory of Marcus Conway

Marcus Conway was a beloved English teacher, serving nearly 20 years at Sahuaro High School from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s. She loved teaching and guiding students through the lessons to be found in great literature and was especially fond of teaching freshmen classes.

She began her teaching career at Catalina High School in 1960, where she worked with Dr. Benny Linkhart. Some years later, Benny recruited her to join the teaching staff at Sahuaro High School, where he was Assistant Principal. She was a dedicated and accessible teacher and frequently had visits and news from former students. She made enduring friendships with fellow teachers and numerous members of the Sahuaro staff, maintaining strong ties to the Sahuaro community throughout retirement.

The Sahuaro High School Cougar Foundation, at the request of the family, is accepting donations in honor of Marcus.
