Mary Harrington, Class of 1975, Health System Director

Mary Harrington, a 1975 Sahuaro graduate, competed in volleyball and track and field and received a full scholarship to Colorado State University for track. Mary also competed in the U.S. Track Olympic Trials in 1980 and 1984 then worked at the U.S. Track Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs becoming the Director of Operations for the U.S. Olympic Sports Festival. In 1987 Mary was selected as the assistant women’s track team coach for the World Games in Sicily.

She continued her work with athletes as the National Strength and Conditioning Association Director of Education while working as the Lexart Communications Director for Special Projects. Mary presently works in Colorado Springs in the Penrose—St. Francis Health System as the Director of Ambulatory Operations. Mary continues to stay in contact with many of her Sahuaro classmates and enjoys her annual trip to Tucson to get together with her fellow Sahuaro Cougars.
